Our Classes

We offer both hot power yoga and unheated yoga classes. All of our yoga classes are for all levels of students.

The physical benefits of yoga classes are numerous - mobility, strength, flexibility, better breathing, lower blood pressure. The mental benefits are deeply important as well - stress reduction, a clear head, focused thoughts, lower anxiety. Our classes give you chance and the space to regroup, and give your mind a chance to take in just one thing at a time. It's a moment, or an hour, to be mentally still.

What is Power Yoga?

Power yoga is a term that refers to a physically and mentally challenging style of yoga. In our style of yoga, poses run together in a smooth way without halt between movements. Importantly, in our hot power yoga classes, the teacher will synchronize the class together, and matching each movement to an inhale or exhale. This synchronization helps to create ease in each pose, and helps each individual's yoga practice be uplifted and held by the breath of the class around them.

The "power" in power yoga - and especially hot power yoga - does not only refer to physical demand. Power yoga asks students to find, within themselves, the agency to make their own choices about their movement and practice. All Levels Hot Power Yoga

This class is a challenge for both the first-timer and the experienced yogi.  Our hot power yoga classes lead you through a series of postures and breathing techniques that create balanced, functional strength to support your body in and out of yoga class. You will move, sweat, play, and experience your body fully. Additionally, this class will strenghen you, and build both flexibility and endurance. Above all, it will also help to focus and calm your mind.

The room is heated to a steamy 93-95 degrees. This class may include hands-on assisting.

All of our classes are open to every BODY regardless of experience, ability, or frequency of practice.  We love beginners!

Hip & Back Yoga

This version of power yoga class is our specialty at CPY. Hip & Back Yoga focuses specifically on hip-opening stretches, paired with strengthening exercises to stabilize joints. Flexibility and mobility in the hips and hamstrings increases overall-mobility and reduces pain throughout your body. Therefore, whatever the reason for your tightness or pain, this class will compliment your exercise or physical therapy regiment, or stand on its own. This class is for all levels of students - options are given in each pose for maximum benefit.

Lightly heated to 75 degrees to promote stretching.

Core Yoga
This 45-minute hot power yoga class is designed to help build the relationship between movement and stability, using the abdominal muscles as the foundation for fluid movement. This class is a similar format to our All Levels Hot Power Yoga classes, but primarily focuses on connecting to the muscles in your core. In addition to movement, we use breath and self-adjustment to build body awareness throughout the practice.
Classes is heated to 93-95 degrees. All levels welcome.

Power/Restore Yoga

This blended class pairs power yoga with equal parts restorative yoga to fully balance mind and body. Build strength and increase stability for your power yoga practice. After that, you'll take active rest and restore your muscles through the use of props and breath control. This class is for all levels and is unheated.

$5 Community Class

Fridays at 7pm (except when there is a Pop Up! event - please see the schedule).

$5 drop-in! This class is taught by a trained and certified teacher who is developing their teaching practice.

The yoga instructors focus on your breathing, so you are relaxed the entire time! I'm hooked. The owners are wonderfully nice and there's always someone who remembers you and says hello. The teachers are fantastic and really interested in creating a good experience for you. The heated studio/hot yoga is perfect for feeling like you are really getting a workout (and it's a great respite from the cold during the winter). It's takes a lot to convince me to go to the gym, but I look forward to coming to this studio to do yoga a few times a week! Also, I would highly recommend this place to someone who is less comfortable with their skill level- there is a great mix of people and the teachers are great about helping (but not pushing too hard), so even I feel comfortable, even though my inverted-something-twisting-pose isn't exactly fitness model worthy.
